U.S. Congressman C. A. Dutch Ruppersberger has announced that he will not run for Maryland governor; he will seek re-election as a member of the House of Representatives.
Ruppersberger, former Baltimore County Executive and 1996 MACo President said in a statement,
“I want to thank the many Marylanders who encouraged me to run for governor. I was humbled by their enthusiasm, faith, and financial commitments. Their encouragement and confidence made me think long and hard about this choice.”
