Environmental Group Preparing Pollution Legislation for Poultry Industry

A November 20 Baltimore Post-Examiner article reports that the advocacy organization Food and Water Watch hosted a town hall meeting and panel discussion in Baltimore to discuss its plans on introducing water pollution legislation targeting the poultry industry.  The article notes that the proposed legislation may not have the support of certain key environmental legislators in the Maryland General Assembly:

[Food and Water Watch Maryland organizer Julie Gouldener] underscored that Del. Maggie McIntosh of the 43rd district, who is the chair of the House Environmental Matters Committee, “will not” be supporting their anti-pollution measure.”
