MDOT Releases Draft Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan for Public Comment

The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) recently announced the release of the Draft Twenty-Year Maryland Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan for public review and comment. The draft plan can be accessed via: The Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan establishes a vision and policy framework for advancing biking and walking for transportation in Maryland. It updates the bicycle and pedestrian master plan adopted in 2002 and, going forward, will be updated every five years.

The public comment period will remain open until December 10, 2013. Comments can be provided via email to, or by mail to the address below.

MDOT will also host a public meeting to discuss the draft plan on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 6-8 PM. The meeting will be at the Talbot County Free Library located at 100 W.
