State Awards $65M to Local Water Systems

As reported in the Baltimore Sun, the state’s spending board on Wednesday approved more than $65 million to upgrade sewage and drinking water systems throughout the state.

About $10.7 million is headed to Baltimore County to cover infrastructure costs associated with improvements to various sewer projects and the Enchanted Hill and Wye Oak pumping stations.

The other funds are dedicated to St. Mary’s, Calvert, Wicomico, Frederick, Montgomery, Allegany and Prince George’s counties.
