US Green Building Council of Maryland Releases 2013 Advocacy Agenda

The US Green Building Council, Maryland Chapter, recently released its advocacy agenda for 2013, which includes state and local initiatives for the coming legislative year. Local Initiatives include the following,

Local Initiatives
» Encourage Local Adoption of International Green Construction Code
» Recognize Baltimore and Howard County’s Green Building Standards
» Support Comprehensive Funding Plan to Transform Baltimore City Schools
» Encourage LEED-Based Water Efficiency Standards to Lower Stormwater Fees

A representative of the US Green Building Council, Maryland Chapter’s School Committee will be speaking at MACo’s upcoming Winter Conference session on innovations in schools.  The Winter Conference will be held from January 2-4, 2013 at the Hyatt Resort in Cambridge, Maryland.  Registration is now open.
