During an open  event as part of MACo’s summer conference, some 60 county elected officials representing every region of the state discussed methods and strategies to enhance the county “message” on policy issues.  The forum invited county officials to offer thoughts on increased participation and effectiveness through the Annapolis policy making process.

The MACo Board of Directors, at a previous meeting prior to the conference, had held a similar session and added the “open forum” to the conference agenda to offer a broader reach for these questions.

The morning forum led, aptly enough, into a general session detailing “State, County, and Municipal Teamwork,” where representatives from three levels of government discussed collaborative efforts on policy and constituent issues.
