MACo Conference Session: Income Tax Revenue Forecasting – It’s All About November

Each November, the model used for the distribution of local income taxes is adjusted based on the behavior of taxpayers in the prior tax year. These adjustments may create fluctuations in revenue distributions.

Join us at this MACo Summer Conference session to examine how the State distributes local income taxes to Maryland’s counties and how to plan for these fluctuations when preparing a county’s budget.  The session will be held on Friday, August 17 from 2:15 pm to 3:15 pm.

Speakers include:  Ray Wacks, Howard County Budget Officer and George Freyman, Manager, Revenue Administration Division, Comptroller’s Office
