On Monday, March 19, Peter I. Smith was voted in to replace Daryl Jones as the new Councilman for District 1 of the Anne Arundel County Council.

Peter Smith, aged 31, is a Marine Reservist and resides in Severn, MD.  He will be sworn in to the Anne Arundel County Council on April 2, and will complete the term previously held by Daryl Jones.
