Teacher Pension Shift Public Hearing Scheduled for February 29

The legislation including the Governor’s proposed teacher pension shift, the Budget Reconciliation and Financing Act of 2012 (BRFA), introduced as SB 152, is scheduled to be heard in the Senate on February 29 at 1:00 p.m.

MACo has taken a position in opposition to the pension shift and the BRFA bill, and will be making both written and oral remarks to the committees hearing the bill. (A House of Delegates hearing is likely to be held roughly a week later)
