The Winter Conference features 16 educational sessions, one of which is entitled “Customer Service: Creating Effective Boundaries When Everyone Wants it Now.” Human service employees must demonstrate compassion for clients and provide outstanding customer service. However, at times they find that their professional boundaries can be stretched as they connect clients with needed services. This session will assist employees with determining professional boundaries and offer effective strategies and assertive responses for use in their work. It will also offer supervisors tips for addressing boundary issues in the workplace and ways to measure their effectiveness.

Confirmed speakers include Catherine R. Willis, LGSW, Director, Department of Community Services, Queen Anne’s Services and Joanne E. Williams, Director, Department of Aging, Baltimore County.

This session will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 from 2:15 pm – 3:15 pm and is sponsored by MACo’s Aging Affiliate. For more information on this session or any of the other sessions being held at MACo’s Winter Conference, please download our registration brochure by clicking here.
