The Chesapeake bay Foundation will be hosting Clean Water Week 2011 November 14-18 in Easton, MD to celebrate the revitalization of Maryland’s local rivers, streams, and the Chesapeake bay. The week-long event includes presentations, films, and other activities that focus on the latest efforts to stop pollution and make Maryland’s local waterways clean and healthy again. Monday, November 14: Clean Water Forum, 6pm
Learn how communities throughout the Eastern Shore are working to stop water pollution. Discover clean water’s contribution to the local economy, jobs, and health and safety of our families, and get familiar with the most promising steps being taken now to protect and restore our rivers and the Bay. Join local leaders and experts for this clean water public forum hosted by the Maryland Chapter of the Sierra Club.
Thursday, November 17: Maryland Environmental Legislative Preview, 6pm
The Maryland League of Conservation Votes (MLCV) Education Fund hosts this annual Legislative Preview of environmental issues expected to be dated in the upcoming Maryland General Assembly.
