The Maryland Department of Planning, on its website and directly with stakeholders, has, in consultation with Governor O’Malley, decided to delay the release of the revised draft of PlanMaryland in an effort to fully consider the comments received prior to the deadline. The previous announced date for the revised draft had been September 7.  MACo submitted recommendations and looks forward to seeing those incorporated in the new draft.  Planning Secretary Rich Hall is slated to speak at the upcoming MACo Legislative Committee to provide an update on PlanMaryland and related land use initiatives.
