Friday, August 19, 9:00 am – 10:30 am
As Maryland continues to grow, our energy supply and infrastructure must grow as well. Unfortunately, no single energy source is a “magic bullet” that will solve all of our energy challenges. Instead, the State must utilize a combination of traditional and emerging power sources in order to meet our future energy needs. Panelists will discuss the State’s efforts to increase its usage of “green” and sustainable energy, such as solar and wind; the continuing role of traditional power sources, such as coal and nuclear; and the need to upgrade and maintain our energy delivery grid.
Speakers include: (1) Malcolm D. Woolf, Director, Maryland Energy Administration (2) Tommy Landers, Policy Advocate, Environment Maryland (3) Mary J. Hutzler, Distinguished Senior Fellow, Institute for Energy ResearchClick here to register online!
