MACo Past President Jim Smith Joins Towson Law Firm

Former Baltimore County Executive and 2008 MACo President Jim Smith has announced his plans to join the Smith, Gildea & Schmidt law firm in Towson, MD.  Smith, a lifelong resident of Baltimore County has dedicated much of his life to public service.  His career began as a member of the Baltimore County Council from 1978-1985, when he was appointed Associate Judge of the Circuit Court for Baltimore County.  He stepped down from the bench in 2001 to run for County Executive, an office he held for eight years.  Smith will now serve as of Counsel for Smith, Gildea & Schmidt assisting in litigation and business matters, administrative law and governmental affairs.
