The Local Government Insurance Trust (LGIT) is holding two workshops during the month of September for local government employees. 

• Harassment in the Workplace: How Hostile Work Environments Are Created and How to Avoid Them
  Designed for supervisors, risk managers, and public officials, the seminar provides an overview of the types of harassment that are prohibited by state and federal law, as well as, how to handle to harassment claims.  The seminar is offered on Monday, September 13th from 1 pm-3 pm or 4 pm-6 pm.
• National Safety Council Defensive Driving
  This training session is geared towards those individuals who operate a vehicle while working on behalf of the local government.  Participants will learn how safe driving can prevent accidents and increase productivity and efficiency.
