Congratulations to the Carroll County Bureau of Aging!

The County received the prestigious Aging Innovations Award today by the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging at their annual conference in St. Louis, MO. Only nine of these awards, the highest honor, were presented in this nationwide awards program.

The award was presented in recognition of the County’s Retirement Options for Persons with Disabilities program. This partnership program  involves therapeutic art techniques in educating younger adults with developmental disabilities about retirement programs provided by senior centers.

In addition, Carroll County was also one of the top three programs that scored the highest in the review process, and received a $1,500 monetary award.
