State Board of Education Adopts Common Core Standards

At its June 22 meeting, the Maryland State Board of Education adopted the Common Core State Standards in English-language arts and mathematics for grades K-12.  The Board had previously endorsed the draft, but did not give final approval until the final standards document was released on June 2.
