Today’s media is covering elements of the Administration’s budget plan, in advance of formal announcements today and tomorrow. Legislative leaders are meeting with the Governor and his staff today to hear some initial outlines, and the budget itself will be formally introduced Wednesday, by law.

No details on county funding have emerged, but comments from the Governor and legislative leaders at the MACo Winter Conference have suggested no room for a “bounce back” in state funding — and more likely a number of programs being “flat funded” from FY 2010 into FY 2011.
