As previously reported on Conduit Street, the Maryland Senate engaged in a debate over PlanMaryland on the first day of the 2011 Special Session. As a result of the debate, Senate President Mike Miller sent an October 25 letter to Secretary of Planning Richard Hall requesting that he coordinate with the Senate Education, Health, and Environmental Affairs Committee to hold a briefing on the Plan prior to its implementation.
The exact date of the hearing has yet to be determined but will likely be just before or just after the start of the 2012 Session. Secretary Hall’s response to the request is unknown at this point.
