Maryland's Heroin and Opioid Emergency Task Force visited the lower shore Wednesday. The meeting, held at the St. Francis de Sales Philip & Barbara Long Parish Center in Salisbury, was the fifth regionally held in the state. The Hogan Administration has announced $500,000 in grants for drug treatment in county jails. This federal money will be used to treat inmates with addictions to heroin and related narcotics.
