A survey recently released by Wallethub puts Maryland among the top states for vaccination rates.  The Maryland Reporter: reports on the Wallethub Survey: Massachusetts ranked first and Mississippi ranked last. Maryland legislators and advocates are partnering to propose the creation of Health Equity Resource Communities to boost funding and reduce disparities in certain targeted areas. Maryland Secures 250,000 Rapid Coronavirus Tests

Maryland is the first of nine states to receive the advanced rapid antigen coronavirus tests which can generate results in 15-20 minutes.  The tests are part of an interstate testing compact deal and are being funded in part by the Rockefeller Foundation. City to Launch $30 Million Eviction Prevention Program

The new Eviction Prevention Program builds on Baltimore City’s Temporary Rent Support Program to help tenants in need of assistance because of the coronavirus pandemic.  According to City officials, the percentage of residents behind in rent tripled from March to June of this year.
