Queen Anne’s Commissioner Primaries Set November Ballot

Queen Anne’s County voters finalized several County Commissioner nominations Tuesday, including contested Republican primaries for the At-Large seat and Districts 2 and 3.

County Commissioner At-Large

Jim Moran won the Republican nomination for the At-Large seat with 2,120 votes (57.8%). Tracy Ann Smith finished second with 1,247 votes (34.0%), followed by Rick Bowers with 303 votes (8.3%).

Liz Filter secured the Democratic nomination with 1,683 votes and will face Moran in the general election.

County Commissioner District 1

Jack Wilson secured the Republican nomination with 2,907 votes.

No Democratic candidate appeared on the primary ballot.

County Commissioner District 2

Patrick McLaughlin won the Republican nomination with 1,598 votes (46.8%). Stephen Wilson received 1,420 votes (41.5%), while Mat Drayer received 400 votes (11.7%).

Andrea Alduino secured the Democratic nomination with 1,680 votes.

McLaughlin and Alduino will face one another in November.

County Commissioner District 3

Barry Donadio won the Republican nomination with 1,358 votes (37.9%). Phil Dumenil received 1,286 votes (35.9%), while Robert Buckey received 939 votes (26.2%).

No Democratic candidate appeared on the primary ballot.

County Commissioner District 4

Chris Corchiarino secured the Republican nomination with 2,829 votes.

No Democratic candidate appeared on the primary ballot.
