Rural Maryland Council Seeks Input on Community Needs and Priorities

The Rural Maryland Council (RMC) invites residents, business owners, community leaders, and other stakeholders to participate in a survey to help shape future investments and policy priorities for rural communities across the state.

The survey, which takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, will help inform RMC’s legislative advocacy efforts, program priorities, and future funding decisions. Feedback will also support planning for the Rural Maryland Capacity Building Fund and two key grant programs: the Maryland Agricultural Education and Rural Development Assistance Fund (MAERDAF) and the Rural Maryland Prosperity Investment Fund (RMPIF).

According to RMC, the survey seeks input on a range of issues affecting rural communities, including economic development, agriculture, healthcare access, broadband expansion, infrastructure, workforce development, and small business support. Additionally, responses will help identify emerging needs and opportunities, and ensure that future initiatives reflect the experiences and priorities of rural Maryland residents.

Interested participants can access the survey through the Rural Maryland Council’s website.

RMC encourages stakeholders to share their perspectives and help inform future investments in Maryland’s rural communities.
