The Kent County Public Library (KCPL) has announced the launch of its new Creator Studio Kit collection, designed to support local businesses,
entrepreneurs, and the creative community.
The initiative aims to foster economic development by providing free access to professional-grade tools for photography, podcasting, and other creative projects.
Made possible through grant funding from the Upper Shore Regional Council (USRC) and the support of the Kent County Office of Economic and Tourism Development, the Creator Studio Kits allow users to experiment with equipment at no cost, build new skills, and explore how digital storytelling can enhance local business visibility and success.
The collection includes kits for portrait and still photography, podcasting, and voiceover work, offering a hands-on way for users to learn and grow their creative capabilities. In addition to the kits, KCPL has added new books on small business marketing, photography, and podcasting, expanding resources for anyone looking to sharpen their creative or professional skills.
The USRC grant has also enabled KCPL to collaborate with local organizations and businesses to develop a program series that helps people learn about the contents of the Creator Studio Kits and how to use them. The next one will be on Saturday, October 25, at 1:00 pm, at the Chestertown Library.
