Local leaders are invited to participate in an immersive, one-day learning experience focused on smart stormwater management.
This event will demonstrate how effective stormwater management can protect communities, bolster local economies, and enhance environmental resilience.
About The Event
Wandering Maryland’s Waterways, hosted by the Maryland delegation of the Local Government Advisory Committee (LGAC) to the Chesapeake Executive Council, will take participants on a guided bus tour across Prince George’s County on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
This learning event will bring together local elected and appointed officials, senior staff, and environmental partners to explore innovative stormwater infrastructure projects firsthand. The tour will highlight real-world success stories, creative funding models, and practical solutions to flooding and water quality challenges that counties and municipalities across Maryland face.
Thanks to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and the Chesapeake Bay Program, there’s no cost to participate. Bus transportation, lunch, and site visits are all included.
