Carroll Commissioners’ Podcast Launches on Video

The Carroll County Commissioners’ podcast, a regular offering from the county leadership, ventures into video for a special interview with the current, outgoing, State’s Attorney as he reflects on years of municipal, county, and state service.

Carroll County Commissioner Mike Guerin interviewed the State’s Attorney Haven Shoemaker for the video discussion. Shoemaker has served in municipal government, county government (as a commissioner), and as a Delegate in the General Assembly. He reflects on his years in public service, as he discusses his decision to end his tenure in that role, and to not seek an additional term.

“Everybody should give back, to the extent they could so so…” said Mr. Shoemaker. He reflected on his work in the county and emphasized “good old fashioned horse sense” as an instrument to success in public service – reflecting the tone and manner that became well-known in Annapolis during his time in the state legislature.
