NACo Launches Regional Forums To Equip County Leaders for Tech Future

Artificial intelligence can influence how counties deliver services, manage operations, and plan for the future. NACo’s new AI Regional Forums are designed to help local leaders make sense of what’s next.

National Association of Counties LogoArtificial intelligence and generative AI (GenAI) are rapidly reshaping the public sector, and county governments are no exception. The National Association of Counties (NACo) is launching a new AI Regional Forum series in 2025, tailored for county elected officials, appointed officers, department heads, and staff.

These in-person forums will offer a hands-on, educational experience focused on the evolving landscape of AI and GenAI. For just $50 per attendee, participants will gain timely insights and practical knowledge on:

  • The latest trends and impacts of AI and GenAI in local government

  • Innovative and existing use cases for AI applications in county operations

  • Key opportunities, challenges, and strategies for implementation

The forums seek to empower county leaders with the tools and understanding to responsibly explore and adopt AI technologies to improve service delivery, boost efficiency, and better meet community needs.

NACo’s 2025 Regional Forums are being held across four U.S. regions, making it easier for counties nationwide to engage.
