Another group has officially joined the ranks of MACo Affiliates! As of the 2024 Winter Conference business meeting, the Economic Development group
is now recognized as an official MACo Affiliate.
This group is a collaborative forum to exchange ideas, share best practices, and advocate for policies that drive local economic growth. Through education, relationship-building, and strategic partnerships with the Maryland Association of Counties (MACo), the Maryland Economic Development Association (MEDA), and state agencies, this group helps counties attract businesses, create jobs, and enhance economic opportunities for residents.
Overview
The Maryland Counties Economic Development Partnership provides a forum for county Economic Development professionals to exchange ideas and experiences and promote the economic health of Maryland for its residents. Working in tandem with MACo, State departments and agencies, and other complementary organizations or groups, the Partnership will focus on education, relationship-building, and public policy to strengthen Maryland’s economy.
