Fun Fact: Where Can You Enjoy Holiday Festivities With Some of Maryland’s Favorite Animals?

The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore City is hosting a series of festive holiday events this year. Their Holly-Days celebrations take place every weekend in December, featuring a variety of seasonal activities for visitors to enjoy.

Holly Days – Starting at the end of November and running through Tuesday December 31, the Holly Days events offers a different way to enjoy the season. Each weekend the Maryland Zoo offers guests things ranging from a Santa & Friends kickoff to celebrations of Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, and a New Year’s Day ball drop at noon just for kids. Holly Days events are free with Zoo admission and include unlimited train & carousel rides, holiday-themed education stations, chats with Zookeepers, storytimes, craft stations, and much-much more.

Brunch with Santa – Each Sunday in December families can enjoy a brunch buffet on the Zoo’s Mansion House Porch before getting to create unique seasonal crafts. Penguins will be making a special appearance. Brunch tickets include same-day Zoo admission.

Winter Solstice Yoga – December 21 there will be a 60-minute Vinyasa-style yoga class designed for beginner and intermediate yogis.

The Maryland Zoo will have daily events including animal keeper chats, conservation activities, storytime and nature play, and education stations that help children explore the world around us.
