Sailboats are a huge part of the culture and life of many Marylanders. Annapolis, in Anne Arundel County, hosts the largest sailboat show in the world every year.
Visitors from around the country and world come to Annapolis each year to enjoy the amazing Sailboats and events around the marina. This year’s event will take place October 10 – 14 and will boast 155 boats, 16 of which are exhibiting for the first time in the United States.
The Annapolis Sailboat Show started in 1970 and was the first in-water sailboat show in the country. Today, it has the most comprehensive boating exhibitions in the industry.
This annual celebration of sailing features floating docks lined with sailboats from manufacturers around the world. Multihulls, monohulls, cruisers, racers, sailing dinghies and more. Show tents line the shore, stocked with the latest in nautical gear and accessories, electronics, communication equipment, sails, rigging, education, charter companies, clubs and more.
The boat show gives boaters the opportunity to board and inspect almost every new model on the market. They are able to make side-by-side comparisons, and speak to industry professionals about everything involved in buying and owning a boat.
Both experienced and novice sailboat enthusiasts are able to come to Annapolis to enjoy the different exhibits, history, and food at the local restaurants.
