Harford DPW Director Joe Siemek Named Engineer of the Year

Harford County Director of Public Works, Joe Siemek, has been named the 2024 Engineer of the Year by the County Engineers Association of Maryland (CEAM). The award, presented to a CEAM member for outstanding service to their county and the association, recognizes Siemek’s contributions to public works and infrastructure management.

Since 2016, Siemek has led the Harford County Department of Public Works, overseeing essential services like roads, bridges, water, sewer, solid waste, and stormwater facilities. His role also includes managing the construction of all Harford County capital projects.

“I congratulate Joe on being honored with this award,” said County Executive Bob Cassilly. “His professionalism, steady leadership, and depth of knowledge have made him a valued member of the Harford County team.”
