Cecil County Executive Danielle Hornberger unveiled a comprehensive plan to accelerate the completion of the new North East Middle and High School complex. The County Executive presented a bill and companion resolution to the County Council that would facilitate the completion of this project ahead of schedule and within the next three years.

“This plan is a win-win,” said County Executive Danielle Hornberger. “It will save Cecil taxpayers an estimated $8–10 million and more quickly open the doors to this new state-of-the-art learning environment, where students are excited to learn, and teachers are excited to teach.”
“This is great news for CCPS students, teachers, and families,” said Dr. Jeffrey A. Lawson, Cecil County Public Schools Superintendent. “We look forward to these new schools becoming the centerpiece of the North East community for generations to come.”
