Maryland Certified Public Manager Program – Apply Now for Class of 2025

The Schaefer Center for Public Policy at the University of Baltimore is accepting applications for the Maryland Certified Public Manager® Program (CPM).  Eligible applicants can attend the program at no charge to them or their agency. 

Applications are due by July 12, 2024.

The mission of CPM is to promote excellence in public management with comprehensive training in the core competencies of public sector management. The program delivers job relevant curriculum to promote cross-sector collaboration and prepare candidates for the work of today and the challenges of tomorrow.  Candidates will complete a Capstone Project to improve a service, reduce costs, or increase revenue for their agency.

Maryland CPM Program LogoThe 2025 program will be offered entirely online combining live instruction and self-paced learning. Training will include interactive classes, projects, and readings. The overall goal of the program is to develop world-class leaders for Maryland public service.

There are a limited number of spaces available for managers and executives from state, local, municipal government, and non-profit organizations in Maryland for 2025.  The program is open to supervisors and managers living or working in Maryland who work for a government (local, state, or federal), quasi-governmental, or nonprofit organization.
