Baltimore City Council primary election results show which candidates came out on top this week.
The Baltimore City Council includes fourteen members and an at-large Council President. Below are the results by district.
Baltimore City Council President – Zeke Cohen (D) won 49 percent of the vote over incumbent Nick Mosby (D) and Shannon Sneed (D). Cohen will contend with Emmanuel Digman (R) in November, who ran unopposed in the Republican Primary.
District 1 – Mark Parker (D) won 54 percent of the vote against Liam Davis (D) and Joseph Raymond Koehler (D).
District 2 – Incumbent Danielle McCray (D) won 80 percent of the vote over India Carter (D). In the Republican primary Andy Zipay (R) ran uncontested and received 100 percent of the vote.
District 3 – Incumbent Ryan Dorsey (D) won 64 percent of the vote against Margo Bruner-Settles (D) and Marques Dent (D).
District 4 – Incumbent Mark Conway (D) ran uncontested and won with 100 percent of the vote.
District 5 – Incumbent Isaac “Yitzy” Schleifer (D) won 76 percent of the vote over Marvin M. Briscoe (D).
District 6 – Incumbent Sharon Green Middleton (D) won 60 percent of the vote over Robyn A. Christian (D) and Steven T. Johnson (D). In the Republican primary Ronday Wilson (R) ran uncontested and received 100 percent of the vote.
District 7 – Incumbent James Torrence (D) won 59 percent of the vote over Tori Rose (D). In the Republican primary Christopher Michael Anderson (R) ran uncontested and received 100 percent of the vote.
District 8 – According to the latest results Bilal Ali (D) is tied with Paris Gray (D) to take over for Kristerfer Burnett (D), who did not seek reelection. Update: with the addition of mail-in ballots, Paris Gray now holds a 142 vote margin over Bilal Ali.
District 9 – Incumbent John T. Bullock won 54 percent of the vote against Sonia G. Eaddy (D), Venroy July (D), and Matthew K. Johnson (D).
District 10 – Incumbent Phylicia Porter (D) won 78 percent of the vote against Richard Parker (D).
District 11 –According to the latest results, incumbent Eric Costello (D) and Zac Blanchard (D) are tied with about 50 percent of the vote each. Update: following Thursday’s inclusion of mail-in ballots, incumbent Eric Costello gained nearly 200 votes to claim an 87 vote advantage, roughly 1.5%, with some additional ballots still yet to be counted.
District 12 – According to the latest results, Jermaine Jones (D) leads the democratic primary with 52 percent against incumbent Councilman Robert Stokes (D) at 48 percent. Update: including mail-in ballots, the count on Friday remained in Jones’ favor, with a 211 vote margin.
District 13 – Incumbent Antonio Glover (D) won 82 percent of the vote over Walker Gladden III (D). In the Republican primary Alexander Artis (R) ran uncontested and received 100 percent of the vote.
District 14 – Incumbent Councilwoman Odette Ramos (D) ran unopposed and won with 100 percent of the vote.
