Community-Centered Policing Continues as Top Priority for Local Law Enforcement

The Montgomery County Police Department is holding an event this weekend to welcome community members into their Germantown outpost for fun and games.

This week in best practices for community-centered policing, Montgomery County Police Department will be holding an open house in their outpost at the Germantown Police Station and Fire Station. This event is one of many being held around the state by local jurisdictions looking to build and improve the relationship with residents. Events like this fulfill one of the four major elements of community-centered policing, which focuses on prioritizing positive interactions with residents. Resources to continue bolstering these efforts locally could garner some attention as police reform continues into year three of implementation.
