Counties Have Until July 31st to Complete DHCD’s Fair Housing Compliance Form

Counties & Municipalities have until July 31st to fill out DHCD’s Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) Form. 

During the 2021 session, the General Assembly passed HB90 requiring the Department of Housing and Community Development (“DHCD”), in consultation with political subdivisions and housing authorities, to submit a housing report to the Governor and General Assembly, by December 1 of 2023 and every 5 years after. The report must identify (a) the efforts of the State, political subdivisions, and housing authorities to promote fair housing choice and racial and economic housing integration, and the results of those efforts, delineated by county; and (b) the actions being taken by local jurisdictions to affirmatively further fair housing.

DHCD has set a deadline of July 31st for counties to submit a form (linked here) which will be used to help inform the report mandated by HB 90.
