Queen Anne’s County Economic & Tourism Development, in partnership with Upper Shore Regional Council, announced the recipients of the 2023 Micro Agricultural Grant Program.
The purpose of the Micro Agricultural Grant Program is to help support and sustain the development, expansion, and coordination of agricultural enterprises and initiatives in Queen Anne’s County. Applicants must operate an agricultural business in Queen Anne’s County, MD and be actively engaged in the farming community. Funding for the 2023 Micro Agricultural Grant Program is made possible by the Upper Shore Regional Council and Queen Anne’s County.
Twelve agricultural businesses were selected in Queen Anne’s County with $63,000 in funding to expand, diversify, or improve their marketing efforts, implement capital improvement projects, and conduct agricultural research initiatives. This year’s recipients include:

- Calico Fields Environmental Education
- Oksana’s Produce
- Where Pigs Fly Farm
- Mike Garner Hay & Livestock Equipment
- Native Enterprises – Tomahawk Farms
- Mindful Acres
- Tidewater Organics
The Upper Shore Agriculture Grant program won the 2022 Maryland Association of Counties County Innovation Award.
