The Charles County documentary “Deep Roots and Many Branches” was featured on The National Association of Counties blog last week. NACo highlighted the ongoing documentary series which focuses on Black history and untold stories in Charles County, MD.

The ongoing documentary series won the 2022 NACo Achievement Awards.  The series was created to reflect the rich cultural heritage of Charles County and amplify the importance of preserving the numerous historic sites and stories that reflect the diversity and continuity of life in Southern Maryland.
