Academy Graduate Class, Local Government Fiscal Resiliency, Available at MML Conference

The Maryland Municipal League (MML) Summer Conference will feature a course on fiscal resiliency as an offering for graduates of the Academy for Excellence in Local Governance.

The Academy for Excellence in Local Governance is a voluntary certificate program for county and municipal officials and features foundational and deep-dive courses centering on governance best practices. The Academy Graduate program is a professional development program for those who have completed the Academy Fellow certificate.

Title: Local Government Fiscal Resiliency

Description: The 3.5 hour class will take place on Wednesday, June 15 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Maryland Municipal League Summer Conference in Ocean City. Led by School of Public Policy Assistant Professor Luke Spreen, this course will explore the quantification and evaluation of fiscal resilience as well as strategies for managing fiscal challenges.

Date/Time: June 15, 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Please note: The class is for Graduates of the Academy only and is offered as a special registration option connected to MML’s Fall conference (you can attend just this course, separately from the conference).

Cost: Registration for non-conference participants is $85 until May 15.
