This Week: Board of Revenue Estimates to Vote on Revised Fiscal Forecast

The Board of Revenue Estimates (BRE) will hold a virtual meeting on Thursday, March 10, to vote on the revised general fund revenue estimates for fiscal years 2022 and 2023.

The three-member panel, which includes Comptroller Peter Franchot, State Treasurer Dereck Davis, and Secretary of Budget and Management David Brinkley, is responsible for estimating state revenues to manage the State’s budget.

Projections for the current and following fiscal years will give budget writers and lawmakers a final analysis of Maryland’s revenue picture and broader economic trends as they complete their work on the FY 2023 budget.

Comptroller Franchot, Treasurer Davis, and Secretary Brinkley will also share their perspectives on the revenue forecasts.

The meeting will be streamed live on the Comptroller’s Facebook and YouTube pages.
