Join the Maryland Planning Commissioners Association (MPCA) for a free workshop called Mastering the Master Plan on Friday, July 16, from 10:00 –11:30 a.m.
2020 Census data is soon to be released, and many counties are already involved in community discussions of updating their comprehensive/master plans in accordance with Maryland’s Land Use Article (LUA). Many, if not most, jurisdictions align the development of a new or updated comprehensive plan with the release of decennial census data. The Maryland Department of Planning’s 10-year cycle documents for counties and municipalities highlight the expected increase in updated comprehensive plans over the next few years.
“The Maryland Planning Commissioners Association (MPCA) membership has expressed interest in learning more about comprehensive planning in Maryland, including the role of citizen planners (planning commissioners, boards of zoning appeals members, and others). The MPCA Executive Committee is excited to invite you to a free workshop called Mastering the Master Plan on Friday, July 16, from 10:00 –11:30 a.m. While the content of the workshop will be tailored to citizen planners, everyone is invited to join” (Maryland Planning Blog).
