The education-focused website K-12 Dive has maintained a running capture of news items covering the pandemic effects on public school systems across the country.
From today’s renewal:
[A] report released Tuesday by Californians Together, Children Now, National Center for Youth Law and Public Advocates examines the best practices and lessons learned during the pandemic in 48 districts across California, identifying promising model practices in professional development, tech use, social-emotional learning, serving English learners and other vulnerable students and more.
However, EdSource reports, the review also identifies flaws in these areas and a need for greater detail on financial disclosures around how funding and relief aid are being used to these ends.
Bookmark the K-12 dive site for ongoing updates on all the ways school systems are recovering from, and making continued changes amidst, the still-ongoing pandemic.
