From the National Association of Counties (NACo):

The National Association of Counties (NACo) sent a letter to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, calling on Congress to immediately pass the support featured in the Biden administration’s American Rescue Plan, a proposal that includes $350 billion in critical aid to state, local and territorial governments.  

NACo also joined the U.S. Conference of Mayors and National League of Cities to host a virtual press conference and issue a statement calling on Congress to pass direct assistance to counties and cities.
