MD Unemployment Claims Soar in Past Week

According to data from the Maryland Department of Labor, unemployment insurance claims in Maryland nearly doubled last week.

The Department released data stating that during the week ending October 3, there were 30,060 unemployment claims. The previous week, there were only 15,444.
