The Carroll County Department of Planning is hosting a public meeting on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm regarding text changes to the county’s residential zoning code.

Carroll County is holding a public meeting to provide the public with updates on the residential zoning review process. Thus far the process has included work with a citizen review focus group that has provided feedback that has shaped the draft revisions of the residential zoning districts. Members of the public who attend the meeting on the 23rd will have the opportunity to ask questions and interact with department staff.

Started in the spring of 2018, Planning worked with a citizen focus group to review planning concepts and master plans and taking feedback from this group to develop draft revisions of the residential zoning districts. After delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the process is moving forward using virtual methods. The hope is to have more and continuous public engagement into the development process.
