Governor Larry Hogan today appointed Mike Griffith to the Maryland House of Delegates, representing Legislative District 35B, and Delegate Charles E. Sydnor III to the Maryland Senate, representing Legislative District 44B.
Delegate Sydnor, who currently serves as the majority deputy whip in the House and sits on the Judiciary Committee, will finish the term of Shirley Nathan Pulliam, who last month announced her retirement due to health concerns.
Griffith, who currently serves as the chief marketing officer overseeing all business development for HPS Management in Havre de Grace, will finish the term of Andrew Cassilly, who last month stepped down to serve as a senior advisor to Governor Hogan.
“I am confident that Mr. Griffith and Delegate Sydnor will represent their constituencies admirably in their new respective roles,” Governor Hogan said. “I offer them both my sincere congratulations and look forward to working with them in the upcoming legislative session.”
