Lidl, ranked a top 3 U.S. grocer by Food & Wine magazine, announced this week that it will hire more than 200 employees to staff its state-of-the-art regional headquarters and distribution center in Cecil County. The facility is due to open in Spring 2020.
The supermarket chain, which operates 10,800 stores in 29 countries, will hold a hiring event for warehouse associate positions next month.

The event, which will support Lidl’s store growth along the east coast, will be held on Thursday, September 5, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. This hiring event will be the first of many as Lidl looks to hire more than 200 employees for its Cecil County distribution center.
Salaries for warehouse associates start at $15.00 per hour, plus benefits, which can include health, dental and vision plans, a 401(k) retirement plan with a generous company match and the potential for performance bonuses. Accepted candidates will become integral members of the Lidl logistics team and will support new store openings in 2020 and beyond. The warehouse serves as the backbone of Lidl’s regional store network, guaranteeing product availability and the highest levels of freshness and quality.
