Tiffany Green Will Become First Woman to Lead Prince George’s County Fire/EMS

Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks today announced the appointment of Tiffany D. Green as chief of the Prince George’s County Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department (Fire/EMS). Green—who is set to become the County’s thirteenth fire/ems chief—will be the first woman to lead the Department.

Green, who currently serves as deputy chief, will succeed Benjamin Barksdale, who will retire in October. Former Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker appointed Chief Barksdale, who has over 35 years of fire service experience, to serve as acting fire chief on March 1, 2017.
