CareFirst will host a session on innovation and partnerships at MACo’s Summer Conference as part of MACo’s Solutions Showcase.
MACo’s 2019 Summer Conference, “Winds of Change,” will take place on August 14-17 at the Roland Powell Convention Center in Ocean City, MD. Nearly 3,000 individuals from across Maryland will gather to discuss advancements and changes being seen at all levels of government, from cybersecurity to Phase III WIP to school funding.
Healthworx: Innovation and Partnerships at CareFirst 
Healthworx, the corporate venture and corporate development arm of CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is building a portfolio of investments and strategic partnerships that both address the needs of CareFirst and its members today and that have the potential to make a substantial impact in healthcare in three to five years. Through alignment with innovative providers like LifeBridge Health, CareFirst is supporting initiatives that have the highest potential to impact patient care. Join this session to learn more about how Healthworx is implementing a strategy for innovation and hear some examples of ongoing Healthworx projects, including working with social determinants of health.
