MACo Secretary and Talbot County Council Member Laura Price, has established a weekly column in the Star Democrat.
She will cover news in Annapolis from the county perspective.
Her first article, published on Feb. 3, covers how MACo functions during the Legislative Session, and a general overview of trending policy topics, including MACo’s 2019 Initiatives.
We [MACo Members] certainly do not get everything we want in the state legislature, but we have a very high success rate, and if a bad bill is going to pass anyway, more often than not, an amendment that we [MACo] offered is incorporated, to make it better for the counties.
